IFOOD CREATES A SYSTEM TO IDENTIFY THOSE ACTIVE ON THE PLATFORM IN POLICE OPERATIONS

After a wave of crimes committed by fake delivery men, between April and May of this year, the iFood delivery app decided to team up with Public Security Secretariats so that those who are active on the platform can be quickly identified and released in police operations.

Tech Integration with Security Forces

The platform explained that the company created a technological solution that integrates the register of iFood with the public system so that police officers can confirm if the stopped motorcyclist actually makes deliveries on behalf of the company. By informing the personal data, the police can access the integrated system and check if the delivery person’s registration is active and even if they are on a delivery route of an order at that moment.

The program’s objective is to contribute to public safety and avoid delays in the deliveries.

Implementation in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro

In São Paulo, the agreement is already active. In Rio de Janeiro, it should start in the next few days after an agreement with the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Military Police.
