04/05/2026 – On Monday (4), a joint operation by Civil and Military police in the Fronteira community resulted in the arrest of four individuals linked to drug trafficking following a violent armed confrontation. Officers came under fire while advancing along Manoel Marques Monteiro Street, triggering a response that left two suspects wounded. The operation led to the seizure of a 9mm pistol, a .38 caliber revolver, communication radios, a significant amount of drugs, and a stolen motorcycle.
04/05/2026 – On Monday (4), Civil Police recaptured a fugitive in the Nova Holanda neighborhood. The individual had escaped from the prison system after being convicted of drug trafficking in January 2023, following his initial arrest in the Fronteira district. Utilizing surveillance and intelligence tools, law enforcement executed the recapture warrant issued by the Penal Executions Court, placing the convict back into custody.
10/05/2026 – On Saturday morning (10), a man was shot dead in the middle of a public street, near the Fish Market, in the center of Macaé. According to information from Segurança Presente, the crime occurred after a disagreement between work colleagues from an ice company in the region. The perpetrator of the shooting was identified, but fled immediately after the crime. The 123rd DP is investigating the case with the support of security cameras. Searches continue in an attempt to locate the suspect.
