11/07/2026 – On Saturday (11), a joint operation between the Federal Police and the Civil Police arrested a fugitive at the Macaé bus terminal. Wanted for aggravated robbery following a final conviction by the 1st Criminal Executions Court of Salvador, Bahia, the man was tracked using cross-agency intelligence. He was processed at the 123rd DP and remains in custody pending extradition.

13/07/2026 – On Monday (13), Macaé’s facial recognition camera network led to the capture of a fugitive wanted for murder in the Imbetiba neighborhood. Triggered by a real-time biometric match at an intersection, officers from the 32nd BPM intercepted the suspect on the spot. The arrest was executed on a standing warrant from Itaperuna, where the man was sentenced to a 14-year prison term for homicide.
16/07/2026 – On Thursday (16), Military Police officers from the Segurança Presente program arrested a theft suspect in downtown Macaé following a viral store robbery. After the suspect initially escaped a foot chase by a store employee—an encounter captured on social media—patrol units tracked down his location. The operation adds to a recent streak that has seen over seven criminals apprehended by the specialized patrol unit in Macaé.
