Refusing to accept the end of their relationship, the suspect loitered outside the victim’s residence despite a judicial ban on any contact. After the victim reported the immediate threat to the 123rd DP, officers launched a search and successfully apprehended him.
03/03/2026 – On Tuesday night (3), Military Police arrested a man for drug trafficking in the Favela da Linha. Acting on an anonymous tip, officers intercepted the suspect while he was riding a motorcycle. Although he attempted to flee on foot, he was captured with quantities of crack, cocaine, and marijuana hidden in his clothing. The suspect, who already had a criminal record for similar offenses, is now facing up to 25 years in prison for drug trafficking and criminal association.

06/03/2026 – Between Friday (6) and Sunday (8), the 32nd Military Police Battalion captured two fugitives under unusual circumstances. The first, wanted for first-degree murder, was discovered on Friday after police responded to a neighbor’s report of cries for help, finding the suspect bedridden following a recent surgery. The second, a convicted drug trafficker, was arrested on Sunday after hospital staff at the Hospital Público Municipal identified his open warrant while he was seeking medical care and alerted the authorities.
07/03/2026 – On Saturday night (7), officers from the 32nd Military Police Battalion recovered a stolen car and arrested two men in downtown Macaé. The operation was triggered by a motorcyclist’s report of three suspicious individuals abandoning a motorcycle to board the car. While the police successfully intercepted the vehicle on Rua Teixeira de Gouveia, one of the three suspects managed to escape.
07/03/2026 – On Saturday (7), Military Police officers arrested a man in the Aeroporto neighborhood after he attempted to flee upon seeing a patrol car. During his escape attempt at Praça Nagib Mussi, the suspect tried to discard bags containing 115 pins of cocaine labeled with CV branding, referencing the Comando Vermelho’s influence in the nearby Cehab area. The tactical unit successfully intercepted the individual and seized the narcotics, which were intended for local distribution.
07/03/2026 – On Saturday (7), military police officers conducted a raid in the Favela da Linha, following an anonymous tip regarding drug sales near the railroad tracks. After intensifying their search, the officers apprehended two suspects and discovered a bag hidden alongside the train tracks containing 18 capsules of cocaine, 29 crack rocks, 120 reais in cash, two cell phones, and a watch. An adult was arrested for drug trafficking and association, while a minor was detained for an equivalent infraction.
07/03/2026 – On Saturday (7), in the Praia Campista neighborhood, a man who refused to accept the end of his relationship broke into his ex-partner’s home to physically assault her and threaten her with a knife. The victim managed to escape and alert the Municipal Guard, triggering an immediate manhunt in the area. Cornered, the suspect attempted to flee across rooftops and threatened officers with roof tiles before being neutralized with non-lethal force.
08/03/2026 – On Sunday night (8), a man wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet was arrested for drug trafficking in the Malvinas neighborhood. Officers intercepted a motorcycle on Rua Yara Constantino after the passenger attempted to discard a bag containing nine portions of marijuana, 328 reais in cash, and a cell phone. The motorcyclist, who identified himself as an app-based driver unaware of the illicit cargo, was released after questioning. The passenger, already on parole for a previous drug conviction, was taken back into custody.
09/03/2026 – On Monday (9), tactical officers from the 32nd Military Police Battalion arrested a drug dealer and detained a buyer in the Lagomar neighborhood. The suspects’ nervous behavior drew the attention of the patrol, leading to a search that uncovered 43 pins of cocaine, a cell phone, and 116 reais in cash.
09/03/2026 – On Monday afternoon (9), a man was arrested in the district of Córrego do Ouro, in the mountainous region of Macaé, for violating a protective order against his daughter-in-law. Armed with a knife, the suspect broke into the victim’s home while she was away and destroyed several household appliances. After being treated for a foot injury sustained during the break-in, he was taken to custody.
10/03/2026 – On Tuesday night (10), Military Police arrested a female fugitive in downtown Macaé following an intelligence tip from the Federal Police. The woman was wanted under an arrest warrant issued by the state of Espírito Santo for drug trafficking. After a targeted search, officers located her on Dr. Francisco Portella Street. She was taken to custody awaiting transfer to the prison system.
11/03/2026 – On Wednesday night (11), Military Police arrested three men in downtown Macaé after discovering over 400 portions of illegal drugs during a vehicle stop. During the search, officers seized 221 pins of cocaine, 230 rocks of crack, and 14 bags of marijuana. One of the suspects already had a criminal record for robbery and illegal weapons possession.
12/03/2026 – On Thursday (12), Military Police arrested two men in downtown Macaé for stealing cables while disguised as technicians from a fiber optics provider. The suspects, wearing company uniforms and using a branded vehicle, were caught inside a building on Rua Conde de Araruama after a security guard noticed they were removing materials unrelated to their supposed service. Security footage from previous days linked the pair to similar thefts.
14/03/2026 – On Saturday (14), a Military Police operation supported by canine units (BAC) targeted drug trafficking in the Favela da Linha. Officers apprehended three teenagers, aged 15 to 17, who were caught attempting to hide narcotics on rooftops and inside helmets. The raid resulted in the seizure of cocaine, crack, marijuana, and cash, following a strategic sweep that caused several other suspects to flee the area.
16/03/2026 – In the early morning of Monday (16), a 38-year-old man was arrested for stealing power cables from a commercial property on Rua Antero Perlingeiro in downtown Macaé. Military Police responded to a security guard’s report and found two suspects immobilized inside the building. Officers seized a power saw and pliers used in the theft.
19/03/2026 – On Thursday (19), a joint operation between the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais led to the arrest of a 57-year-old fugitive in the Ajuda de Baixo neighborhood. The man was wanted for the repeated sexual abuse of a 17-year-old girl in São Francisco do Glória (MG). According to investigators, the suspect was a neighbor who exploited the mother’s absence to commit the crimes and later coerced her into silence.
22/12/2026 – On Sunday night (22), a motorcyclist lost his life in a violent accident on the RJ-106 highway in the São Marcos neighborhood after being struck by a vehicle engaged in an illegal street race. Surveillance footage shows two cars traveling at high speeds before one of the drivers lost control, crossed into the oncoming lane, and fatally hit the motorcyclist, also injuring a family in the ensuing collision. The first driver, aged 21, was captured shortly after the incident, while the second 26-year-old driver was arrested on Monday (23). Both face charges of participating in an illegal race resulting in death, hit-and-run, and failure to render aid.
23/03/2026 – On Monday (23), delivery drivers organized several protests across Macaé, using burning tires to block major roads including the Linha Azul, Parque de Tubos, and the Barra de Macaé Bridge. These demonstrations were sparked by the death of a fellow motorcyclist on Sunday night, who was killed by a driver involved in an illegal street race. The protesters expressed outrage over reports that the driver lacked a valid license and are demanding a jury trial to ensure the perpetrator does not remain unpunished.
23/03/2026 – On Monday (23), Civil Police officers arrested a man in downtown Macaé for violating an urgent protective order. The arrest was the result of an intelligence operation conducted in partnership with the Federal Police. The suspect had been a fugitive since August 2024, following death threats against a former partner who had ended their relationship. Despite an open preventive detention warrant, the individual continued to stalk the victim.

- When going to and leaving Vale Encantado, never walk, call a licensed taxi, or use a company-approved ride-sharing App.
- In any situation, avoid waiting on the sidewalk. If you call a taxi, for instance, wait inside a building and only leave when the car arrives.
