28/04/2023 – A man was arrested after setting fire to the body of his wife in the Córrego do Ouro neighborhood. The Military Police were triggered for the occurrence of attempted femicide. According to witnesses, the attacker was out of control and confessed to the crime. The victim remains hospitalized with burns on her back and buttocks.
03/05/2023 – The Civil Police launched Operation Nassau, with the support of several Military Police units. The action targeted the Nova Holanda community and resulted in three arrests. The targets of the operation were individuals with direct links to organized crime and active in drug trafficking. Operation Nassau is part of the Civil Police’s strategy to repress drug trafficking in communities with high homicide rates.
05/05/2023 – The Military Police (PM) arrested two men accused of robbing passers-by on RJ-106, Amaral Peixoto Highway. The action took place after complaints from victims who triggered the PM’s vehicle. According to the occurrence, officers carried out searches and saw two men on a motorcycle and carried out the approach. With them, three cell phones, two purses, a kindle, an iPhone, a firearm simulacrum, and a thermos were found.
