04/05/2022 – A trio was arrested by the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) while stealing electrical wiring from a school in Encruzilhada. The three men were caught stealing electrical wiring at the Cleóbulo Amazonas Duarte Municipal School. Officers went to the scene after a complaint. A large amount of the wires was recovered, as well as various tools, such as screwdrivers and knives.
06/05/2022 – A Santos resident fell for a scam and lost R$ 40,000. The 28-year-old foreign trade analyst said that a criminal posed as a Nubank employee and informed him that his card had been cloned. By telephone, the victim was guided to follow some steps, such as tests, to end the invasion, and made loans and transactions via PIX. The Public Security Secretariat of the State of São Paulo (SSP-SP) informed that the case was registered as a scam.
09/05/2022 – The Federal Revenue Service seized 503 kg of cocaine hidden in a container in the Port of Santos. The drug was hidden in bags amidst coffee beans bound for Sweden. Before, however, the container would pass through Germany. A Customs team in Santos identified cocaine in a container with 20 tons of coffee during a routine inspection.
09/05/2022 – A man was arrested after stealing parts from a building on the José Menino beach’s pathway. The thief would have removed aluminum bars from the gate and was found by a team from the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM). The arrest took place while guards were on patrol in the area.
