14/08/2026 – A civil police investigator reacted to an attempted robbery in front of a Banco Safra branch on Avenida Engenheiro Luís Carlos Berrini, in the Itaim Bibi neighborhood, on Friday evening (14). A shootout ensued between the officer and the assailants, resulting in one suspect being shot in the leg before police officers apprehended him along with three other accomplices involved in the crime.

15/08/2026 – A dentist was violently attacked on Rua José Maria Lisboa, in the Jardim Paulista neighborhood, where she was punched, threatened with a stun gun, and struck with a baseball bat by her husband, a financial executive, during the night of Saturday (15). Security cameras captured the street assault, showing the victim falling to the ground under the force of the blows as she attempted to flee her attacker. After changing the locks on their shared residence to prevent his wife from entering, the 48-year-old suspect was arrested in flagrante on charges of domestic violence, bodily injury, and death threats.
16/08/2026 – A 10-year-old boy, the son of an off-duty civil police officer, was shot in the chest and killed during an attempted motorcycle robbery on Rua Pedro Feliciano Domingues, in Vila Penteado, North Zone, on Sunday (16). An armed assailant on a motorcycle pulled alongside the officer and his son, announcing a robbery before opening fire; the officer was grazed while his son suffered a fatal chest wound. The off-duty officer returned fire, fatally shooting the 24-year-old gunman, who had reportedly stolen a wedding ring nearby shortly before the attack, while a second accomplice fled the scene.
16/08/2026 – A woman was fatally stabbed by her ex-partner while waiting in line at a supermarket in the Morro Grande region of São Paulo’s North Zone on Sunday afternoon (16). Security cameras captured the attack near Praça Santa Clara de Assis as the assailant ambushed the victim in front of terrified bystanders, who fled the scene. Although she was rushed to Hospital Brasilândia, the victim succumbed to her injuries, and the suspect was apprehended at the scene before being taken into custody by local police on femicide charges.
18/08/2026 – On Tuesday (18), the Federal Police and the Federal Revenue Service launched “Operação Barão da Amizade” targeting the smuggling and counterfeiting of cosmetics and health products in central São Paulo. Law enforcement officers executed 17 search and seizure warrants across key commercial hubs, including Galeria Pajé near Rua 25 de Março, Brás, and Liberdade. 21/08/2026 – On Friday (21), two suspected robbers were struck and killed by a car on Antônio José Bentes Street in Capão Redondo, South Zone. According to the Military Police, the driver had just been robbed by the duo and lost control of his vehicle during their attempted getaway, crashing directly into them. Both men died at the scene, where authorities recovered multiple stolen cell phones, rings, and a firearm. The driver was transported to the local Capão Redondo medical center for treatment, and the case was submitted for formal investigation at the 47th Police District.
