Between January and April 2025, the city of Santos recorded 1,247 incidents involving mobile phones, marking a 5.4% increase from 2024. The most affected neighborhoods were Vila Belmiro (134 cases), Gonzaga (109), and the city center (104), all high-traffic areas. Among the total, there were 351 robberies (involving violence), 268 thefts (without violence), and 116 cases of loss or unconfirmed crime. Some victims were targeted while inside their vehicles. Police use this data to refine patrol strategies and target high-risk zones.

30/06/2025 – A 28-year-old man was shot dead during a police shootout on June 30 in the Beco do Pneu area of Rádio Clube. He was wanted for involvement in the 2023 robbery-murder of a 24-year-old phone shop owner. During the confrontation, the suspects fired at police; the man was killed, and firearms and drugs were seized. Authorities confirmed he had two outstanding arrest warrants. The case was registered as a death from police intervention, attempted homicide, drug association, resistance, and weapons seizure.
