10/08/2025 – On Sunday (10/08), civil police officers arrested a man in the Mirante da Lagoa neighborhood, caught in the act of sharing intimate images of his former partner. According to the investigation, he allegedly accessed the victim’s laptop without authorization, used WhatsApp Web to read private conversations, capture nude images, and send them to another man, acting out of jealousy. He is charged with sharing sexual content and unlawfully accessing an electronic device.

11/08/2025 – On Monday (11/08), officers from the 32nd BPM arrested a man for drug trafficking during a routine patrol in the Lagomar neighborhood. Upon noticing the police, the suspect threw a bag into a vacant lot and tried to flee. He was caught with R$106 in cash, and the discarded bag was later found to contain cocaine. The man was taken to the 123rd DP.
13/08/2025 – On Wednesday (13/08), Procon temporarily closed Ita Viagens e Turismo in downtown Macaé after over a dozen clients reported losses of about R$60,000 for July trips that never occurred. The agency ignored official notifications, shut its store, and became unreachable. It has 20 business days to resolve complaints before possible collective legal action and suspension of its Cadastur registration. A notice at the store invites affected consumers to file compensation claims.
13/08/2025 – On Wednesday (13/08), military police operations in the Lagomar neighborhood significantly disrupted local drug trafficking activities. In the first, officers responding to a tip detained a man in a vacant lot with cash and marijuana; a search of the area uncovered 169 vials of cocaine and 71 rocks of crack. In the second, acting on information about Red Command activity, police searched a wooded area and seized 1,020 packets of cocaine, three bricks of cocaine, one brick of marijuana, and a small block of hashish.
14/08/2025 – On Thursday (14/08), in the Favela da Linha, military police from the 32nd BPM detained four individuals during a patrol in an ADA-controlled area. They seized 52 vials of cocaine (104g), 167 stones of crack (167g), R$50 in cash, and a cell phone. Three adults were arrested, and one minor was taken into custody; all were placed at the disposal of judicial authorities.
