01/11/2025 – On Saturday (1st), Military Police officers from the 32nd BPM’s Intelligence Unit arrested a man for drug trafficking in the Lagomar neighborhood. The suspect was seen holding a bag while sitting on a bicycle in an area known to be controlled by the Comando Vermelho faction. When officers approached, he attempted to flee but was quickly captured. Drugs were found in his possession, though the amount was not specified. He was taken to the 123rd Police Precinct and remains in custody.
01/11/2025 – On Saturday (1st), officers from the Tactical Action Group (GAT) of the 32nd BPM arrested a man in Barra de Macaé for vehicle tampering. During the inspection, police found a box containing 499 packs of Egipt-brand cigarettes without tax documentation. The suspect, who appeared nervous during the stop, failed to present vehicle papers or a driver’s license. The car showed signs of alteration and could not be identified in police records. He was taken to the 123rd Police Precinct and charged under Articles 311 and 334 of the Penal Code for vehicle tampering and smuggling. Police also seized 1,118.50 reais in cash, along with the vehicle and cigarettes.

02/11/2025 – On Sunday (2), two women were arrested in Macaé for drug trafficking and criminal association during an operation by the Tactical Action Group (GAT) of the 32nd BPM in the Favela da Linha. Acting on reports of drug sales in the area, police set up a tactical perimeter and detained the suspects. A search led to the seizure of 72 cocaine capsules, crack rocks, marijuana packets, two cell phones, and 1,619 reais in cash. Both women were taken to the 123rd Police Precinct and charged under Articles 33 and 35 of Brazil’s Drug Law.
07/11/2025 – On Friday (07/11), the Civil Police of Macaé arrested a man in the act for drug trafficking at the Main Square in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood. Police observed the suspect, linked to the Red Command (CV), selling narcotics behind a kiosk. Upon approach, the man attempted to swallow some of the drugs but was apprehended with capsules of cocaine and rocks of crack.
09/11/2025 – Two men were arrested by the Military Police on Sunday (09/11), in the Lagomar neighborhood, during patrol. The pair, who were on a motorcycle without a license plate, attempted to flee but were captured. They were found with a total of 112 rocks of crack, 11 capsules of cocaine, and 79 packages of marijuana. The suspects were charged with drug trafficking, association for drug trafficking, and vehicle tampering, as the motorcycle was cloned.
10/11/2025 – Military police officers from the 32nd BPM arrested a man on Monday (10/11), in the Malvinas community, following a report about an armed individual. The suspect attempted to flee but was captured after emerging from a river. Although nothing illicit was found on him, along his escape route, the Military Police seized a 5.56 caliber rifle and drugs. The man also had an outstanding arrest warrant for drug trafficking.
10/11/2025 – Two men were arrested by the Civil Police of Macaé on Monday afternoon (10/11), during operations in the Lagomar neighborhood. They were in possession of a which showed signs of tampering and had a theft registration. Following the approach, the driver presented contradictory versions about the car’s origin.
14/11/2025 – Three men linked to the Comando Vermelho (CV) were arrested by the Civil Police in Macaé, in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood, on Friday (14). The arrest took place in an abandoned house that was being used as a drug trafficking base following police monitoring. The trio was detained with portions of marijuana, bottles of ether, grinders, a precision scale, and cell phones, and were charged in the act with drug trafficking and association for drug trafficking.
17/11/2025 – Civil Police executed an arrest warrant on Monday morning (17), in the Cajueiros neighborhood, against a man accused of attempted robbery followed by death (latrocínio). The crime occurred on March 3, 2023, when the suspect, on a motorcycle, robbed the victim and then shot, hitting the victim’s abdomen and leg. The victim survived after nine days of hospitalization.
18/11/2025 – Two women were arrested in the act by the Civil Police (123rd Precinct) for drug trafficking and association for drug trafficking on Tuesday afternoon (18), on Avenida Fábio Franco, in front of Favela da Linha. The police acted following an anonymous tip and seized 42 rocks of crack, 5 capsules of cocaine, 3 packages of marijuana, cash, and cell phones from the suspects.
18/11/2025 – The Civil Police arrested a highly dangerous criminal and a leader of the ADA faction in the Fronteira neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon (18). The suspect, who was the target of an arrest warrant for attempted homicide and association with drug trafficking, was captured in the neighborhood at night. The police seized a Glock 9mm pistol equipped with a burst kit, magazines, and ammunition at his house.
21/11/2025 – A fugitive from justice convicted of drug trafficking was arrested at the Central Terminal of Macaé on Friday (21). The capture was possible thanks to the “190 Integrado” technology, a facial recognition system implemented in partnership between the City Hall and the Military Police. The system issued an alert after identifying the man (who had been sentenced to 8 years in prison) circulating in the terminal, allowing a Segurança Presente team to make the arrest.
22/11/2025 – The Military Police seized a large shipment of 480 capsules of cocaine in a residence in the Barreto neighborhood, on Saturday (22). The operation was launched after tips about an individual who was supplying the location. During the approach, police found only two capsules on one suspect, but he informed them that the rest of the shipment was hidden in a cooler, having been delivered by a motoboy from the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood. The seized material was taken to the 128th Precinct.
22/11/2025 – A motorcycle with a theft registration was recovered by security forces in the Imbetiba neighborhood, on Saturday (22). Police on motorcycle patrol approached the driver for riding without a helmet and mandatory safety items. After checking the system, authorities confirmed the motorcycle had been stolen in July 2025. The driver was detained and taken to the 128th Precinct.
25/11/2025 – A man linked to drug trafficking was detained by the Civil Police on Tuesday afternoon (25), in the Fronteira community. Monitoring agents spotted the suspect with a walkie-talkie, and he attempted to flee, dropping the device. Police believe the detained individual was acting as a drug trafficking informant, responsible for warning about the arrival of security forces in the community.
26/11/2025 – A university professor from UFRJ was brutally assaulted and robbed in a guesthouse in the Imbetiba neighborhood, in the early hours of Wednesday (26). The aggressor threatened him with a knife, demanded a R$1,000 PIX transfer, stole his belongings, and inflicted at least fifteen stab wounds and punches on the head. The suspect was arrested by the Civil Police in Barra de Macaé and will face charges for robbery followed by death, and extortion.

- After dark, avoid walking alone in Praia Campista, Cavaleiros, Glória and the central area.
- As risks of collateral damage and assault are high in these areas due to gang presence,
- avoid: Lagomar, Barra de Macaé, Engenho da Praia, Planalto da Ajuda, Ajuda de Cima, Ajuda de Baixo, Morro de Santana, Morro de São Jorge (in Paraíso), Fronteira, Jardim Maringá, Barra, Nova Holanda, Malvinas, Botafogo, Aroeira, Parque Aeroporto, and the surroundings of Favela da Linha (in between Visconde de Araújo and Cajueiros).
- When going to and leaving Vale Encantado, never walk, call a licensed taxi, or use a company-approved ride-sharing App.
- In any situation, avoid waiting on the sidewalk. If you call a taxi, for instance, wait inside a building and only leave when the car arrives.
