28/12/2026 – On Sunday (28), a 51-year-old motorcyclist suffered two fractured ribs and neck injuries after being struck by a kite string coated with cerol (a prohibited mixture of glue and powdered glass) in Santos. To avoid a fatal throat cut, she leaped from her moving vehicle onto the pavement. Local authorities seized over 330 spools of the dangerous line in 2025, as using or selling these materials remains a crime punishable by heavy fines.

07/01/2026 – On Wednesday (7), Civil Police officers were ambushed and pinned down by gunfire during an investigation at Morro São Bento. Specialized units from the Military Police, including Rota and Choque, were called in as reinforcements to rescue the trapped agents and secure the area. While no injuries or arrests were reported, authorities seized drugs, cash, and illegal slot machines, and have now launched a focused investigation to identify the attackers.
