21/01/2026 – On Wednesday (21), Military Police seized over four kilograms of narcotics, including 1,064 pins of cocaine and various quantities of marijuana and crack, in the Campo Belo neighborhood. The raid was triggered by an anonymous tip, and while suspects fled the scene, one woman was detained for questioning and later released.

21/01/2026 – On Wednesday (21), two homeless men set fire to a bus and a car in separate incidents in downtown Angra dos Reis. Following an investigation by the 166th Police Station led by Chief Roberto Ramos, both suspects were arrested on Thursday (22); one was found carrying a gasoline canister and identified by bus company employees, while the other confessed to torching a car.
21/01/2026 – On Wednesday (21), Civil Police conducted a raid in the Morro da Fortaleza community as part of Operation Retention, dismantling a drug distribution point controlled by the Comando Vermelho. Agents caught a 28-year-old man selling marijuana to a user while a 17-year-old girl managed a table displaying narcotics, including 390 pins of cocaine and 74 portions of marijuana. The man was arrested and the minor apprehended, alongside the seizure of ecstasy, crack, and communication radios.
