22/07/2026 – On Wednesday (22), Military Police arrested a couple in the Caneleira neighborhood for carrying out 12 armed robberies aboard municipal buses operated by the Piracicabana company. The pair, who targeted transit drivers with a knife to steal cash to buy drugs, were caught during a routine patrol after victims recognized their descriptions. Officers seized the knife used in the muggings and booked the suspects at the 5th Police District in Santos, where multiple victims officially identified them.

24/07/2026 – A man and a woman executed a residential burglary on Friday morning (24), on Avenida Pinheiro Machado in the Marapé neighborhood, after forcing open a building’s security gate. Surveillance footage captured the suspects tampering with the entrance mechanism, entering the bicycle storage area, and fleeing with two stolen bicycles before staff had arrived for duty. Municipal and civil authorities were alerted through local media reports as police analyze the security recordings to identify and locate the pair.
27/07/2026 – On Monday (27), 2026, a 32-year-old woman died after a car carrying five occupants veered off the road and plunged into a Sabesp excavation pit in the Alemoa neighborhood. The fatal crash occurred around 2:20 on Avenida Martins Fontes following a jealousy-fueled argument inside the vehicle, during which a 22-year-old female passenger yanked the steering wheel, sending the automobile into the construction site. The 22-year-old was arrested for involuntary manslaughter (homicídio culposo), while the victim was retrieved by firefighters from the partially submerged car and rushed to Santa Casa de Santos, where she succumbed to her injuries.
28/07/2026 – A underage suspect involved in street robberies was detained on Tuesday (28), in the Gonzaga neighborhood, after bragging about his crimes during live streams on social media. Identified through public surveillance cameras, the teenager filmed himself stealing gold jewelry from victims and posted images displaying stolen goods and cash on social media. Municipal guard officers intercepted the suspect on the beach promenade and transferred him to the Civil Police.
29/07/2026 – On Wednesday morning (29), three armed suspects invaded a home located on Rua Repúbica Argentina, 29, in the Pompéia neighborhood after ambushing a domestic worker around 6:00. The perpetrators held the three-member family inside hostage, forced them to make financial transfers via smartphone, and stole the family’s car to flee the scene. The Military Police responded to the call around 8:40 and confirmed that no physical injuries were reported, while law enforcement operations remain ongoing to track down the suspects.
29/07/2026 – A man was stabbed by his daughter during a violent domestic dispute on Wednesday (29), on Avenida Martins Fontes in the Saboó neighborhood. The suspect intervened using a knife after her father drew a machete and advanced toward a relative, leaving him with multiple stab wounds and his wife with a hand injury before both victims were rushed to Santa Casa de Santos. Responding military police officers seized two knives at the scene, and the 5th Police District registered the case as attempted homicide committed in self-defense, releasing the woman without charges while forensic examinations were ordered.
30/07/2026 – A man committed an unusual act of public property vandalism and wire theft on Thursday (30), in the Valongo neighborhood, where he climbed a utility pole wielding a machete to cut power cables. A passing driver filmed the suspect as he repeatedly scaled the pole, severed the wiring, and left it lying across the road. The Municipal Guard (GCM) responded to the scene following resident reports, but the suspect had already fled.
