18/09/2026 – On Friday (18), around 21:45, a 51-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the abdomen as he left his apartment to walk his dog at the BNH housing complex in the Aparecida neighborhood. A witness reported that the 49-year-old suspect approached the victim and said “I told you I was going to get you” before launching the knife attack and fleeing the scene. SAMU paramedics transported the victim to Santa Casa de Santos, where he succumbed to his injuries, while Military Police officers located and seized the murder weapon; civil police at the Santos Central Judicial Police (CPJ) registered the case as homicide and are tracking the identified suspect.

23/09/2026 – On Wednesday (23), a 44-year-old day worker was arrested in flagrante by Civil Police officers from the 3rd DP of Santos inside a residential apartment on Rei Alberto I Avenue, Ponta da Praia. The property belonged to a U.S. police officer stationed at the U.S. Consulate, who alerted authorities after interior security cameras recorded the worker tampering with and obstructing lens angles following prior disappearances of luxury goods, premium meats, perfume, and spirits. Responding detectives intercepted the suspect on-site, discovering over R$ 200,000 in stolen jewelry, rings, chains, and personal effects hidden inside her bag. Following her confession during questioning, she was booked for attempted qualified theft through breach of trust.
24/09/2026 – On Thursday (24), a 49-year-old suspect surrendered to Civil Police at the Central Judicial Police (CPJ) in downtown Santos, execution of an outstanding temporary arrest warrant for homicide. The arrest stems from a September 18 incident at the Marechal Humberto de Alencar Castelo Branco housing complex (BNH) in the Aparecida neighborhood, where the suspect fatally stabbed a 51-year-old neighbor in the abdomen as the victim walked his dog. Captured on surveillance video, the attacker fled the scene while SAMU paramedics transported the victim to Santa Casa de Santos, where he succumbed to his injuries; the weapon was seized, and the suspect remains held pending a custody hearing.
