The Ministry of Health informed that seven new Central Public Health Laboratories are now able to apply tests to diagnose monkeypox, adding up to 15 facilities capable of conducting the tests. According to the Ministry, the objective is to ensure a quicker capacity to identify the virus, which has been under surveillance since its first detection in Brazil, in June 2022.
