05/02/2026 – On Thursday (5), the Federal Police launched “Operation Risk Classification” to arrest a 27-year-old pediatrician, popularly known as “Dr. Mickey,” in Angra dos Reis. The doctor, who worked at both public and private health facilities including the local Children’s UPA and Unimed, is suspected of child sexual abuse, grooming minors, and storing and sharing abuse material online. Officers executed search warrants at his residence and workplaces, seizing materials for forensic analysis. A public school teacher was also questioned as part of the ongoing investigation into a potential criminal association.

06/02/2026 – On Friday (6), the Federal Police arrested a teacher in Angra dos Reis as part of “Operation Risk Classification”. His arrest followed the detention of a local pediatrician known as “Dr. Mickey” just a day earlier. Although initially released after questioning, the professor was taken into custody after investigators obtained a warrant and seized three backpacks of evidence from his residence in the Parque Mambucaba neighborhood. He is accused of sharing child abuse material and grooming minors for sexual exploitation in the Angra and Paraty regions.
09/02/2026 – On Monday (9), undercover officers from the military police conducted an operation in Frade, an area controlled by a leader linked to the Comando Vermelho. Acting on intelligence, agents raided a property on Rua São Sebastião to serve a warrant for a minor. During the raid, a teenage girl attempted to discard a bag containing 100 packets of marijuana, while a man identified as Ícaro Augusto Silva Carvalho de Souza was found with marijuana, bottles of ether, and nearly 100 ecstasy pills. The man was arrested, and both minors were detained.
10/02/2026 – On Tuesday (10), civil police arrested, on Rua da Conceição, Downtown Angra, a 63-year-old man for the illegal sale of anabolic steroids, including Deca-Durabolin and Deposteron. As part of “Operation Fake Pen,” officers caught the suspect delivering controlled substances in the city center after negotiating the sale via messaging apps. Investigators discovered that he used forged prescriptions to acquire the drugs from local pharmacies, and they are now working to identify the individual responsible for providing the fake prescriptions.
11/02/2026 – On Wednesday (11), the Civil Police launched “Operation Folia” to combat drug trafficking during the Carnival period. During a raid in Morro da Fortaleza, a 19-year-old man was arrested, and two minors were detained for acting as lookouts for the Comando Vermelho faction. Officers seized a massive haul of narcotics, including 333 pins of cocaine, 160 rocks of crack, and various quantities of marijuana, ecstasy, and inhalants, marking one of the largest drug seizures of the year.
