The individual, identified as Yago da Silva, was approached for allegedly selling drugs, fled into a residence, and pointed a gun at the police officers, who reacted.
02/11/2025 – Foreign journalists (an Argentinian and a Chilean) were robbed at gunpoint on Sunday (2), in the Ver-o-Peso area, near Feira do Açaí. They were threatened by two men armed with a knife and a machete, who stole personal belongings. The assault was witnessed by plainclothes police officers. One suspect was arrested in the act after a chase, while the other managed to escape.

02/11/2025 – An attempted robbery of a family on Rua Barão do Triunfo, in the Pedreira neighborhood, was thwarted on Sunday afternoon (2). An armed criminal on a motorcycle approached three victims but was surprised by the reaction of one of the residents, who hit him with a shovel. The assailant dropped the stolen belongings and fled on his motorcycle without taking anything.
03/11/2025 – A Military Police action thwarted the kidnapping and possible execution of a woman on Monday night (3), in the Telégrafo neighborhood. The victim was restrained by three armed men who forced her into a car, alleging they intended to execute her for being a police informant. The woman signaled to a police car, starting a pursuit that ended in a shootout. The suspects fled on foot, and the victim was rescued unharmed.
04/11/2025 – On Tuesday morning (4), at the Belém International Airport, during an international disembarkation, a man was arrested by the Federal Police (PF). He was caught with approximately 5.4 kg of a substance resembling cocaine paste. The suspect attempted to dispose of the drug and offered a bribe to an airport official before being arrested for international drug trafficking.
04/11/2025 – On Tuesday (4), in the Marambaia neighborhood, an elderly couple fell victim to a scam by a woman posing as an INSS (National Institute of Social Security) employee. Under the pretext of granting them social benefits, the suspect obtained their documents and facial photographs. The Civil Police are investigating this case of simple fraud, suspecting that the data was used to open fraudulent accounts or obtain loans via facial recognition.
04/11/2025 – A man, suspected of shooting a security guard at UFPA, died on Tuesday night (4), in the Condor neighborhood, following a confrontation with the Military Police. The individual, who was in possession of the motorcycle used during the crime, reacted the police, initiating a shootout. The incident follows the armed assault of a security guard on October 30 at Gate 1 of UFPA, in Guamá.
04/11/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) opened an inquiry on Tuesday (4), in Brasília (with investigations in Pará), to investigate an alleged threat from the Comando Vermelho (CV) against the power substation in Marituba, Pará, the state’s main supplier. The complaint came from the concessionaire, reporting that a man identified himself as a faction member and demanded the suspension of expansion work and the daily interruption of operations. The incident is being investigated to determine a link with the criminal organization, occurring amidst the COP30 conference in Belém.
04/11/2025 – On Tuesday night (4), on Passagem São Sebastião, Cremação neighborhood, a suspect involved in the attack on a UFPA security guard died in a confrontation with the Military Police (Rotam). The police acted after apprehending a teenager who indicated the whereabouts of the man, who reacted to the approach by shooting. The Military Police seized a pistol and recovered the motorcycle used in the October 30 attack.
05/11/2025 – The Civil Police conducted the second phase of Operation “Filhos da Ira” on Wednesday (5), in Belém and its Metropolitan Region. The operation involved executing four search and seizure warrants to investigate violence between rival football club supporters. The investigations followed a brutal attack that occurred on July 24 in the Sacramenta neighborhood, where a group attacked a rival fan, leaving him unconscious. Evidence, including clothing and “trophies” (rival jerseys), was seized during this action.
05/11/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) reported on Wednesday (5) that it detected and neutralized over 30 unauthorized drone flights. Specifically, 31 irregular overflights were mitigated in sensitive areas during the security operations for COP30. A total of 316 unauthorized remotely piloted aircraft were identified since the monitoring began. Key monitored areas included the Belém International Airport and the routes used by the President and official delegations.
06/11/2025 – On Thursday morning (6), at the Belém International Airport, a woman arriving on a flight from Manaus was arrested by Federal Police (PF) agents. The woman was caught with approximately 22 kg of marijuana hidden in 16 tablets in her luggage during a routine inspection in the baggage claim area. She confessed to the drug trafficking crime, stating this was her second time transporting drugs.
10/11/2025 – On Monday afternoon (10), in the Guamá neighborhood, a reserve military police officer was grazed by a bullet in the back during an attack at a supermarket. The Military Police reported that five suspects participated in the action and that one of them fired the shots. The officer was rescued, and the Civil Police opened an inquiry to investigate the crime, analyzing security footage and interviewing witnesses, with no suspects arrested so far.
12/11/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) released a security report on Wednesday (12), in Belém, regarding air security during COP 30. In 11 days (from October 31 to November 10), the PF identified 1,105 drones (ARPs) in sensitive areas and thwarted 124 irregular overflight attempts. The monitoring focused on locations such as the Belém International Airport and the City Park, aiming to ensure the safety of the conference and the presidential area.
12/11/2025 – A man, involved in the death of the Vice President of Fiepa, died in a confrontation with the Military Police on Wednesday night (12) in the Terra Firme neighborhood. The death occurred after he reacted to a police approach and was shot. The crime in question was the robbery followed by death (latrocínio) of the businessman, which occurred on October 3 at his company in Ananindeua. The Military Police seized a revolver from the suspect.
12/11/2025 – On Wednesday (12), a report revealed that fraudsters created about 30 fake websites related to COP 30 in Belém with the goal of stealing internet users’ data and committing online crimes. These fake pages offered information on accommodation and volunteering. Experts stressed that these scams exploit a cultural fragility in digital security in Brazil and insisted on the need for better coordination between the Federal Police and private companies.
13/11/2025 – A woman was fatally shot on Thursday night (13), in the Pedreira neighborhood, on the banks of the Visconde de Inhaúma Avenue canal. Residents reported that the victim was sitting when she was approached and shot by two hooded men on a motorcycle, who fled immediately after the crime.
14/11/2025 – Two men were arrested in the act by the Civil Police on Friday morning (14), in the Guamá neighborhood. They were apprehended for environmental crime after using a truck to illegally dump a large amount of domestic waste on the banks of the Tucunduba River, about 50 meters from a police precinct.
15/11/2025 – A suspect involved in the robbery followed by death (latrocínio) of the Vice President of the Federation of Industries of Pará (Fiepa) arrived in Belém on Saturday morning (15). The man was arrested on Wednesday, November 12, in Joinville (SC), and was later transferred to a penitentiary unit in Belém. The businessman was fatally shot on October 3 at his company in Ananindeua.
18/11/2025 – A man was arrested by the Civil Police this Tuesday (18), in the Pedreira neighborhood, on suspicion of rape of a vulnerable person. The crime occurred on October 21, at the investigated man’s house, where he abused his neighbor, a child aged only 6. The girl reported to her mother that the suspect forcibly inserted his fingers into her genitals and threatened her not to tell.
18/11/2025 – Another suspect involved in the robbery followed by death (latrocínio) that killed the Vice President of Fiepa was arrested by the Civil Police (DRFR) on Tuesday (18). The preventive arrest warrant was served in Guaraí, Tocantins. The suspect was identified as the person responsible for firing the shots that killed the businessman at his candle factory in Ananindeua on October 3.
20/11/2025 – A 19-year-old man is suspected of sexually abusing his 6-year-old cousin in the Condor neighborhood, on the morning of Thursday (20), while he was responsible for watching her. The child immediately reported the assault to her mother, which triggered the investigation. Security cameras at the residence confirmed the indecent act, allowing the Civil Police to open an inquiry and locate the suspect in Curió-Utinga. The man was arrested in the act, fully confessed to the crimes, and remains at the disposal of Justice.
20/11/2025 – The Civil Police of Pará arrested nine people on Thursday morning (20), in Belém, during the third phase of “Operation Sons of Wrath”. The operation aims to dismantle a group linked to an organized supporters’ club of Clube do Remo, investigated for attempted homicide, criminal association, and sports riot. The investigation was initiated after a brutal attack occurred on July 24, in the Sacramenta neighborhood, where Remo supporters violently assaulted rivals with sticks, stones, and iron bars.
21/11/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) carried out an inspection operation at COP30, in Belém, and identified irregularities and clandestine companies operating in private security for the event. The action, announced on Friday (21), resulted in the cessation of activities of two irregular companies and the drafting of four infraction notices. The PF inspected over 700 security professionals and seized metal detectors and radios, emphasizing that private security in Brazil is under the exclusive control of the institution.
22/11/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) launched Operation Bestia in Belém on Saturday (22), to dismantle an international network that produced, commercialized, and shared videos of extreme violence and torture against animals. The network, which operated on messaging platforms with participants from various countries, had financial and sexual motivation. The operation resulted in the fulfillment of two search and seizure warrants and the preventive arrest of one suspect, in a case that already records the deliberate death of at least 32 animals.
22/11/2025 – Two armed men robbed the official store of Clube do Remo at the Baenão stadium, in Belém, on Saturday afternoon (22). The pair, who arrived on a motorcycle, restrained ten people (customers and employees), taking official clothing, accessories, money, and cell phones. Security footage captured the action, and the case is being investigated by the Marco Police Precinct. Clube do Remo expressed solidarity and stated it is available to assist authorities.
22/11/2025 – On Saturday night (22), on Avenida Centenário, in Belém, residents revolted and blocked the road in both directions, burning tires and trash. The demonstration was a reaction to a fatal accident, in which a pedestrian was run over by a motorcycle, and to the fact that the area is constantly prone to accidents. Military Police and Fire Department teams were called to negotiate with the demonstrators and try to clear the traffic.
23/11/2025 – An 11-year-old autistic child was assaulted with a punch to the eye by a man, in the Guamá neighborhood, late Sunday afternoon (23). The assault occurred because the victim threw a piece of mango at the suspect’s girlfriend. Following the complaint, the Civil Police located and arrested the aggressor in the act on Monday, November 24. He was charged with willful bodily injury against a neurodivergent person.
25/11/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) launched “Operation Proverbs 22:1” on Tuesday (25), to combat a criminal organization specializing in illegal gold trading. Mandates were fulfilled in Pará and four other states (Goiás, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Amazonas). The group illegally acquired, transported, and sold gold obtained illicitly, subsequently engaging in money laundering by investing proceeds in various assets to gain an appearance of legality.
27/11/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) launched “Operation Protection” on Thursday morning (27), resulting in the arrest of two men in the Belém Metropolitan Region. The suspects were arrested in the act for storing child sexual abuse material on their cell phones, as part of an action targeting online sexual abuse crimes. The PF executed four search and seizure warrants, and the seized electronic devices will be analyzed for further charges, including storage and sharing of child pornography.
27/11/2025 – The Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime of Pará (FICCO/PA) arrested 11 individuals across Pará, Maranhão, and Santa Catarina on Thursday morning (27). The joint operation, “Coalizão pela Paz”, targeted an interstate criminal organization involved in drug trafficking, extortion, and attacks against security agents. Among the detainees were members responsible for acting as the faction’s internal “disciplina”, enforcing internal punishment. The multi-state coordination represents a significant blow against the criminal group’s structure.
27/12/2025 – A man was preventively arrested by the Civil Police in Belém on Thursday afternoon (27), suspected of raping his stepdaughter (now 14 years old) for a period of eight years. The DEACA investigation revealed that the crime included lewd acts and forced oral sex, with the suspect using domestic cohabitation and gifts to impose silence. The police acted after a complaint from the victim’s school, which suffered repeated sexual violence.
29/11/2025 – Two men were arrested in the Terra Firme neighborhood, on Saturday (29), hours after robbing a laundry. One suspect, armed with a knife, had forced an employee to hand over a cell phone and accessories in the Umarizal neighborhood. Security camera footage aided police in locating the duo, who used a rented motorcycle in the crime. One of the men was found to have an open arrest warrant, and both face charges of aggravated robbery.
30/11/2025 – A criminal defense lawyer was fatally shot by a Civil Police investigator in front of a party house in the Marambaia neighborhood, on Sunday morning (30). The conflict began inside the venue and escalated outside when the lawyer reportedly advanced toward the investigator holding a glass bottle. The investigator then shot the victim, who died at the scene, and fled. The Civil Police Corregedoria (DCRIF) has opened an inquiry to investigate the conduct and locate the suspect.
TRENDS & ADVICE
- When moving through crowded places and their vicinities, visitors should be cautious and refrain from exposing valuables.
- Avoid any display of wealth (jewelry, cell phones), but always carry a small amount of money (R$50) to hand over to muggers.
