16/07/2026 – On Thursday (16), over 160 Military Police officers from the Shock Policing Command launched a major security deployment across Santos, São Vicente, and Guarujá in the Baixada Santista region. The high-visibility operation involved specialized units including ROTA, GATE, and mounted police, resulting in 93 individuals stopped, seven vehicles seized, and two fugitives captured—one of whom was apprehended at a commercial parking lot in Santos’s Pompeia neighborhood.

19/07/2026 – On Sunday afternoon (19), an unidentified man was found dead along Avenida Hugo Maia in the Rádio Clube neighborhood. Emergency SAMU medical personnel confirmed the victim’s death at the scene, prompting Military Police to secure the area for forensic examination. The Homicide Division has taken over the case, which was officially registered as a suspicious death at the Santos Judicial Police Center while investigators work to establish the victim’s identity and determine the cause of death.
20/07/2026 – On Monday afternoon (20), a shootout between law enforcement and armed suspects left one man dead and another wounded in the Morro Nova Cintra neighborhood. Joint Civil and Military Police teams responded to reports of armed men inside a local commercial store and encountered gunfire upon entering the drug-trafficking area. Following the firefight, SAMU transported both injured suspects to the Santa Casa hospital, where one succumbed to his injuries and the 34-year-old survivor remained hospitalized under police guard. Authorities seized two rifles, two handguns, narcotics, scale equipment, and radios before registering the case at the 5th Precinct.
