15/06/2024 – An off-duty Military Police soldier was shot dead in the early hours of Saturday morning (15) after a disagreement at the intersection of the street Rua dos Escoteiros and Rua Lírio da Serra in the Jardim das Camélias neighborhood, in eastern São Paulo. The police officer was surrounded and attacked by a group of four men including the owner of the establishment. One of the criminals stole the agent’s gun and shot him in the back. No one has been arrested until now.

15/06/2024 – The owner of the Malta Rock Bar, in Vila da Saúde, South SP, died on Saturday (15) after being stabbed in the neck and in the back by a customer after he was kicked out of the establishment for harassing a female employee. The attacker was immobilized, disarmed, and arrested for murder.
17/06/2024 – On Monday (17), the Military Police found a trap house in Jardim Angela, in the South of São Paulo, and arrested five men, aged between 18 and 31, and two minors aged 16 and 17. The property was used by members of a criminal faction to store, package, and distribute the drugs. They found almost five kilos of marijuana, four kilos of cocaine, and crack rocks. Cell phones, notebooks, and objects for refining drugs, as well as money, a guillotine, and a compressor, were also seized.
17/06/2024 – On Monday (17) in Paraisopolis, South of São Paulo, the Civil Police arrested two men, aged 23 and 33, for receiving stolen 32 cell phones, as well as a wristwatch, a headset, and two computers. At the other suspect’s house, they found five cell phones, a motorcycle, and two license plates.
18/06/2024 – A 40-year-old man was arrested for breaking into and robbing an elderly couple’s house in the Mandaqui neighborhood, in the north of São Paulo. The crime took place on Tuesday morning (18), and the suspect fled in one of the victims’ cars. According to information from the Military Police, two suspects entered the home and managed to steal jewelry and other belongings from the couple, such as the car, which had been recuperated by the Military Police.
18/06/2024 – The tax fraud scheme targeted by the Federal Police in Campinas (SP) on Tuesday (18) has 530 victims in 200 Brazilian cities, including Sao Paulo. The damage to public coffers totals more than 1 million reais, according to the investigation. Criminals presented themselves as tax consultants with the knowledge and ability to reduce or eliminate taxes. With the trust of the victims, they have been sending out false statements to offset debts for at least 10 years.
18/06/2024 – On Tuesday (18), two 24-year-old men were arrested in the act of illegally carrying a firearm and receiving one in the Parque do Estado neighborhood, on the south side of São Paulo. According to the Civil Police, they are suspected of being involved in the robbery of a house that took place at the end of May in the same area.
19/06/2024 – In the last five months, at least nine robberies and attempts were recorded in locations very close to the address where a young homosexual man aged 24, was killed on 13/06, in the Sacomã region, South SP. In all nine cases, young people were also attracted to the region after arranging meetings through gay dating apps. According to them, they would meet someone through the apps, and after having talked for days, a meeting was arranged in the Sacomã region. There, the suspect offered to pay for a car ride to the location and monitored the victim’s real-time location. Arriving at the scene, the victims were approached by two men who intended to rob them. One of the victims stated that the bandits even shot at him.
19/06/2024 – An inspection carried out on Wednesday (19) by the São Paulo State Traffic Department (Detran-SP), in partnership with the Civil Police, seized 116 silicone fingers at the test site and a practical class of category A and B in the Aricanduva neighborhood, in the East Zone of São Paulo. The molds are often used to defraud the biometric control system of the e-CNHsp in the process of issuing the driver’s license. The person does not appear to take practical and theoretical exams but has their presence confirmed using false fingers. The molds were found in 3 of the 10 cabins inspected.
20/06/2024 – The Federal Police (PF) is investigating Judge Ivo de Almeida, of the 1st Chamber of Criminal Law of the Court of Justice of São Paulo (TJ-SP), and lawyers on suspicion of corruption, respectively, for negotiating the sale and purchase of judicial decisions. In addition to Ivo and the lawyers, at least four other people, who work in different areas, are targets of judicial search and seizure warrants of the PF’s “Operation Churrascada”, which takes place on Thursday (20). According to the PF investigation, Ivo is suspected of selling verdicts in cases under his responsibility. The PF also investigates the suspicion that the judge would force employees of his office to give him part of the salaries they received.
20/06/2024 – On Thursday (20), the São Paulo police carried out Operation “North Impact” against a criminal organization investigated on suspicion of using money from drug trafficking to finance the holding of funk parties in communities in the North Zone of the city. The Civil Police are investigating suspected organized crime and money laundering. According to the investigation, the group used what they earned from the sale of drugs to make funk parties. There is also evidence of the irregular sale of alcoholic beverages to minors, in addition to the incidence of robberies and vehicle thefts in the region.
