The Civil Police, through the Cybercrime Division (DCCiber), has already served more than 2,000 search and seizure warrants in São Paulo against criminals operating on the internet since 2022. The number of actions taken by the Civil Police to identify and hold fraudsters accountable has increased in recent years. In 2022, there were 115 operations launched by DCCiber. This year, so far, there have been 171 police investigations. During this period, 264 cases were solved, 492 court orders were complied with, 235 people were indicted, in addition to 115 cell phones were seized.

13/09/2024 – The police of São Paulo are looking for a man caught by surveillance cameras approaching women and trying to drag them into a Fiat Uno car in Mooca, in the east zone, last Friday (13). The attacks happened in sequence, around 18:00. The suspect has already been identified and had his arrest requested from the courts but has not yet been located.
14/09/2024 – A trans woman who was in an app car was forced to jump from the moving vehicle, in the early hours of Saturday (14), in Jardim Damasceno, in the North Zone of São Paulo. According to the victim, the driver wanted to charge an amount above the one shown in the application. The two argued and the woman was forced by the man to get out of the vehicle that was in motion. The driver also stole the victim’s cell phone and is now wanted by the police.
16/09/2024 – A 42-year-old woman was stabbed to death on the morning of Monday (16), on the corner of Avenida Rubem Berta and Alameda dos Camaiurás, on her way to work at a children’s school in the Saúde neighborhood. According to the police, the main suspect in the crime is her ex-partner.
17/09/2024 – On Tuesday (17), a man was arrested red-handed for drug trafficking in Jardim dos Manacás, in the Grajaú region, in the south of São Paulo. The Military Police located the suspect in a “bomb house” — used for the sale and storage of narcotics. K2, cocaine, crack, marijuana, cash, and three cell phones were found.
17/09/2024 – The Military Police recaptured 15 inmates in the first hours of the temporary release, which began this Tuesday (17) in São Paulo. All were frequenting the region of the open scenes of use, in the center of São Paulo. They were sent back to prison. Of those recaptured by the Military Police, three were wearing an electronic ankle bracelet.
17/09/2024 – The Military Police of the 27th BPM arrested, on Tuesday (17), two men suspected of being part of a gang specializing in cargo theft and kidnapping. The pair tried to hide the merchandise in a vacant lot but were detained in the act in the Jardim Shangrilá neighborhood, south of São Paulo. In all, 180 boxes of drinks and food were recovered. According to the police, they are part of a gang that kidnapped the driver of a truck after forcing him to unload the goods.
18/09/2024 – A 63-year-old engineer was shot and killed inside her home, on Alameda dos Jurupis, in Indianópolis, in the South Zone of São Paulo, in the early hours of Wednesday (18). According to the police report, the victim was shot in the face and belly. The elderly woman was found lifeless by the Military Police, who went to the scene to respond to a call for robbery at the residence.
18/09/2024 – An elderly man, victim of a scam at a bank branch in Grajaú, south of the capital, helped the Military Police to locate the suspects on Wednesday (18). He realized that he had fallen for the scam soon after and managed to write down the license plate of the vehicle in which the suspects were before they fled. After having the vehicle surrounded by the police, one of the men fled and the other was arrested. With him, two credit card machines, a cell phone, and 54 bank transaction receipts were seized.
19/09/2024 – An attempted robbery ended in a shootout at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo, in Vila Mariana (South Zone), on the morning of Thursday (19). According to the institution, criminals approached a security guard in the parking lot of the unit around 10:00. The man reacted, and shots were fired. No one was injured.
