SÃO PAULO SECURITY INCIDENTS – 4TH BULLETIN OF AUGUST

21/08/2025 – On Thursday (21/08), a 12-year-old student at Escola Estadual Professor Flavio La Selva, in Jardim Ângela, had part of her middle finger severed after it was caught in a classroom door during a game among classmates, at a time when no teacher was present. Staff accused the school administration of negligence, citing lack of supervision and repeated understaffing that often forces teachers to monitor multiple classes. Her family filed a police report, and the state education department (Seduc-SP) stated that disciplinary measures would be applied, psychological support offered, and an investigation launched into the case.
