30/08/2025 – On Saturday (30/08), agents from the 33rd BPM carried out an operation in the Aeroporto neighborhood, in Japuíba, after reports of armed men trafficking drugs near children. At the scene, one trafficker escaped into the mangrove, but another suspect, aged 20, was arrested carrying 23 vials of cocaine and 17 portions of marijuana. According to police, the drug point belonged to a trafficker linked to the Red Command (CV).

03/09/2025 – On Wednesday (03/09), a civil police officer from the 166th DP was shot during a confrontation with criminals in Vale da Banqueta but survived without serious injury thanks to his bulletproof vest. The shooter, a former police officer, was also hit during the exchange of gunfire and died. The operation was carried out by civil police from Angra and other units, along with the 33rd BPM, as part of actions to identify and arrest those responsible for the murder of another civil police officer from the 166th DP, killed outside a church on 31 August.
03/09/2025 – On Wednesday (03/09), during operations linked to the investigation of the murder of a civil police officer from the 166th DP, agents of the 33rd BPM arrested the local trafficking manager of the Casinhas do Bracuí. Identified as the second in command under a CV leader already imprisoned since July 2023, he was responsible for supplying drug sales points and carrying heavy weapons. During the arrest, he attempted to flee on a motorcycle but crashed. Police seized the motorcycle, 273 vials of cocaine, 30 rocks of crack, and two cell phones.
