26/12/2025 – In the Grajaú neighborhood, South Zone, a 42-year-old woman was killed on Friday night (26), after being struck by more than 20 gunshots fired by two men on a motorcycle. The victim was at a liquor store when the gunmen opened fire, killing her instantly before fleeing the scene. While the victim held a protective order against an ex-partner, police are investigating multiple motives, including execution or witness silencing.

28/12/2025 – On Sunday (28), PMSP arrested three men following a high-speed chase that covered 25 kilometers and reached speeds of 160 km/h on the Marginal Tietê. The suspects were driving a stolen SUV with altered plates and were carrying burglary tools, including crowbars and balaclavas, intended for robbing mansions in Morumbi (South Zone). The 15-minute pursuit, supported by a police helicopter, ended when the vehicle crashed into a barrier while driving the wrong way. One of the detainees was reportedly out of prison on a temporary holiday release (“saidinha”).
28/12/2025 – In the Campo Limpo neighborhood (South Zone), on Sunday (28), a 21-year-old woman committed a double homicide by intentionally ramming her car into her boyfriend’s motorcycle during a jealous rage. The high-speed pursuit began after she tracked the victims from a party, resulting in a collision that threw both riders 30 meters and injured a bystander on the sidewalk. According to g1, the suspect fled the scene but was found by police shortly after on a nearby street.
29/12/2025 – Starting on Monday night (29), the São Paulo Civil Police launched a massive operation to arrest 1,400 suspects wanted for crimes of violence against women, including femicide and grievous bodily harm. Coordinated by the Secretariats of Public Security and Women’s Policies, the action has already resulted in over 200 arrests across the state. Approximately 1,700 officers and 1,000 vehicles are deployed in this crackdown, which responds to a 6% increase in femicides in São Paulo during 2025.
30/12/2025 – On Tuesday (30), the São Paulo Military Police launched “Operation Cavalo de Aço” to combat robberies and thefts committed by motorcyclists in the state capital. The action involves approximately 100 officers from the Traffic Policing Command (CPTran) conducting strategic roadblocks throughout the city. By intensifying patrols and vehicle inspections, authorities aim to curb property crimes and address registration irregularities, following a similar operation in October that resulted in the seizure of 2,900 motorcycles.
31/12/2025 – On Wednesday (31), an 11-month-old baby was struck by a stray bullet while sleeping in her stroller during a New Year’s Eve party in Guaianases, East São Paulo. The .22 caliber projectile caused a superficial burn on her stomach but did not penetrate her body; she was treated at Cidade Tiradentes Hospital and has since been discharged. Local police are investigating the origin of the shot, which the mother believes may have ricocheted off a grill before hitting the child.
01/01/2026 – Just seconds after midnight on January 1, four armed criminals robbed the Institute of Energy and Environment (IEE) at the University of São Paulo, in the Butantã neighborhood, West Zone. The suspects held two guards hostage and forced them to load copper coils, cables, and computers into a van. Beyond the material loss, the theft caused major intellectual damage, as stolen hard drives contained unique software used by one of the world’s few specialized safety equipment laboratories.
