01/12/2025 – An attempted feminicide occurred on Monday morning (1^st), at a pastry shop in the Jardim Fontalis neighborhood, North Zone. A 36-year-old man, driven by jealousy, approached his 38-year-old ex-partner at her workplace and shot her at least five times with two handguns before fleeing on a motorcycle. The victim was airlifted to the Hospital das Clínicas, where she remains in the ICU in a delicate condition. The suspect remains a fugitive, and a temporary arrest warrant has been requested.

02/12/2025 – As of Tuesday (2), SSP official data shows São Paulo city recorded a record high of 53 feminicides between January and October 2025, the most since 2015. Statewide, 207 cases were registered, an 8% increase over 2024. Experts attribute the rise to both increased violence and improved police classification under the Feminicide Law. They emphasize that preventing feminicide requires integrated policies across social assistance, education, and health, not just security actions.

02/12/2025 – A woman was violently assaulted following an argument with a 37-year-old man on Alameda Barão de Piracicaba, in the Campos Elíseos neighborhood, Central São Paulo, on Tuesday morning (2). The aggressor was filmed by the Smart Sampa system choking the victim against a wall before throwing her to the ground. Immediately alerted, the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) arrived at the scene in less than a minute. The man, who was intoxicated and resisted, was subdued and then arrested in the act for domestic violence and bodily injury.

03/12/2025 – The Homicide Department (DHPP) launched “Operation DHPP não esquece” on Wednesday (3), in São Paulo capital. The operation, which mobilized 55 officers, resulted in the arrest of 10 men (aged 27 to 57) wanted for homicide. The fugitives were located across various city neighborhoods using intelligence, with several having been condemned by courts in other Brazilian states. 03/12/2025 – The family of the 31-year-old woman, who had her legs amputated after being run over and dragged on the Marginal Tietê, issued a warning about a fraud on Wednesday (3). They alerted the public about a fake online fundraiser created in the victim’s name to purchase prostheses, emphasizing that they are not soliciting financial contributions, only prayers. 03/12/2025 – A 62-year-old street cleaner was robbed and assaulted in Lapa, West Zone of São Paulo, on Wednesday (3). Four criminals stole his cell phones, and after punching him, they also took his denture which had fallen to the ground.

04/12/2025 – The Civil Police launched an operation on Thursday morning (4), in São Paulo and Greater São Paulo, targeting a professional money laundering ring. The gang “provided services” to conceal illicit funds derived from drug trafficking, fraud, and gambling, with evidence indicating direct links to the PCC. The police are fulfilling six arrest warrants and successfully obtained judicial orders for the seizure of 49 properties, 3 vessels, and 257 vehicles.

04/12/2025 – An operation by the Civil Police targeted a criminal organization in São Paulo on Thursday morning (4). The gang used the “love scam” on dating apps to lure victims (mainly men), kidnap them, and extort them. The victims were held captive in a hideout in Cidade Tiradentes. Police conducted the operation in the East Zone and arrested two men wanted for these robberies and kidnappings.

04/12/2025 – Two thieves used a slingshot to smash the glass of a pharmacy on Avenida Regente Feijó, Água Rasa, East Zone, on Thursday morning (4). They stole slimming medications and various other products valued at over R$ 80,000. The Military Police pursued and arrested two suspects in the act, recovering the stolen goods and the slingshot used to break the window.

04/12/2025 – A 34-year-old woman was stabbed by her ex-husband while seeking assistance at the Espaço Gente Jovem Padre Ticão shelter center in Ermelino Matarazzo, East Zone of São Paulo, on Thursday (4). The man (34) stabbed the victim and then stabbed himself. Both were hospitalized. The case was registered as attempted feminicide and attempted suicide. This incident occurs as attempted feminicides in São Paulo state have more than doubled since 2023.

05/12/2025 – Airline workers from the São Paulo Union staged a protest in front of and in the check-in area of Congonhas Airport on Friday morning (5), mirroring actions at other national airports. They protested against the “deterioration of working conditions” and demanded fair wages. The concessionaire Aena reported that the protest, which gathered around 50 people, ended without impacting flight operations, although it did cause local traffic disruption.

05/12/2025 – Four suspects invaded a residence in Moema, South Zone of São Paulo, on Friday evening (5), where they tied up and threatened an elderly couple during a robbery. Law enforcement (Força Tática) intervened, arresting three of the assailants. However, one of the suspects, an 18-year-old, was shot and killed by the agents despite being unarmed and having surrendered. Following the analysis of body camera footage, which revealed irregularities, three military police officers were arrested and incarcerated on Saturday (6).

06/12/2025 – The musician Rael was robbed at gunpoint by two criminals at the exit of the Parque Villa-Lobos parking lot in the West Zone of São Paulo on Saturday morning (6). The thieves stole his motorcycle, helmet, and cell phone in under 30 seconds. Thanks to a tracking device, the GCM recovered the motorcycle and the cell phone shortly after in Osasco.

07/12/2025 – Two armed criminals invaded the Biblioteca Mário de Andrade in Central São Paulo on Sunday morning (7) and stole 13 artworks. The thieves held hostages before stealing eight prints by Henri Matisse and five prints by Candido Portinari. The mayor reported that the suspects were identified by Smart Sampa cameras, and police are currently searching for the robbers who fled through the main exit.

07/12/2025 – Three masked and armed men robbed a security company in Capão Redondo, South Zone, on Sunday morning (7). The men rendered three security guards and used facial recognition access to steal a large arsenal. The thieves fled with 23 caliber .38 revolvers, 12 caliber 12 shotguns, and nearly 450 rounds of ammunition.

07/12/2025 – Operations at Congonhas Airport in São Paulo were temporarily suspended for over an hour on Sunday afternoon (7), due to kite activity near the runway. Airport teams collected 20 kites from the area and notified security authorities. The disruption resulted in the cancellation of two flights and the diversion of 12 other flights to alternate airports.

08/12/2025 – Police Bomb Squad was called to the UPA Vergueiro, in the Liberdade neighborhood, Central São Paulo, on Monday morning (8), after a suspicious object was found in a patient’s bag. The man, who later died, was taken to the UPA after injuring himself and another person with a knife at the Sé Metro Station. The GATE (Special Tactical Actions Group) investigated the object, which resembled an explosive device, but confirmed it was not a bomb.

08/12/2025 – Police arrested one of the two suspects involved in the armed robbery of 13 artworks from the Biblioteca Mário de Andrade, on Monday (8). The suspect (31), who has a prior criminal record, was apprehended in the Mooca neighborhood. The thieves were identified using Smart Sampa surveillance footage. The second suspect, along with the Matisse and Portinari prints, remains at large, and Interpol has been notified to block the transport of the artworks.

08/12/2025 – Five military police officers were injured when a house exploded in Vila Santo Antônio, North Zone, early Monday morning (8). The explosion occurred as agents forced entry to investigate a reported suicide attempt, with preliminary findings suggesting the gas was intentionally ignited to target the officers. Three officers remain in serious condition. A 26-year-old female resident was arrested in the act and charged with attempted murder and explosion in a dwelling.

09/12/2025 – A man, aged 40, was arrested on Tuesday (9), suspected of the femicide of his girlfriend, 25-year-old Maria Katiane Gomes da Silva, who died after falling from the 10th floor of a building in Jardim Taboão, South Zone, on November 29. Security videos captured the aggressions moments before the fall, showing the suspect aggressively hitting and struggling with the victim in the condominium’s parking lot and elevator. The suspect is being held under temporary arrest, and the case remains under investigation.

10/12/2025 – An operation led by the Public Ministry (Gaeco), Civil Police Internal Affairs, and Federal Police arrested two Civil Police officers from DENARC (Narcotics Department) on Wednesday morning (10), in São Paulo. They are suspected of accepting a R$1 million bribe to halt an investigation into a PCC drug trafficker known as “Costurado.” The trafficker’s lawyer, who has a prior conviction for kidnapping, was also arrested.

10/12/2025 – The Civil Police of São Paulo launched “Operation Steel Sentinel” this Wednesday (10) to fulfill 26 arrest warrants against convicted and wanted individuals for vulnerable rape across the capital. The operation targets sexual abusers of children and adolescents, including serious cases such as a man sentenced to 85 years for abusing children in his own family and another for raping a 3-year-old child. So far, four people have been arrested, the majority of whom are wanted individuals with a history of domestic violence, some being fugitives from other states who came to hide in São Paulo.

10/12/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) launched an operation on Wednesday (10), to dismantle a criminal organization involved in sex trafficking, which recruited women in Brazil and transported them to Spain. Four individuals were arrested in the Brazilian states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with two additional arrests made in Álava, Spain, with the support of Interpol. The investigation, conducted in cooperation with Spanish authorities, led to the earlier liberation of 33 women (28 Brazilians) and the judicial blocking of approximately R$40 million in assets obtained through human trafficking.

10/12/2025 – A Nigerian merchant was kidnapped in Guaianazes, East Zone, on Wednesday evening (10), by two compatriots. Held hostage in a hideout in Cidade Tiradentes, he was tortured with a hot iron for about 20 hours, while the kidnappers used a video call to demand that his sister in Nigeria sell a piece of land and transfer the money. The victim’s family contacted the Anti-Kidnapping Division (DAS), which managed to locate the hideout by tracing the calls, freeing the hostage, and arresting the two Nigerians for extortion through kidnapping and torture.

11/12/2025 – Confidential judicial data concerning adolescents and children from TJ-SP proceedings leaked onto public legal websites, according to a report on Wednesday morning (11), in São Paulo. The unprecedented leak exposed the names and infraction details of over 50 adolescents, causing layoffs and stigma. The TJ-SP denied system failure, claiming external collection, while the websites asserted, they only reproduced data erroneously made public. The Public Defender’s Office insisted the TJ-SP is accountable and that the victims have a right to civil reparations.

11/12/2025 – An employee of an Enel partner company was arrested in flagrante delicto for passive corruption this Thursday (11), after charging R$2,500 to reconnect power to an address in Vila Mariana, South Zone. The Deputy Mayor of Vila Mariana, approached the employee on Rua Estado de Israel, recording the dialogue in which he admitted to doing a “side job” charging the amount. The illegal charge occurred amidst a large blackout in the South Zone of São Paulo, caused by falling trees and strong winds, leaving many residents without power for over 24 hours.

13/12/2025 – On Saturday (13), a 53-year-old woman was found fatally stabbed in the outbuilding of the residence where she worked and lived as a caretaker, in the Morumbi neighborhood, South Zone. The main suspect, her husband, fled the scene but was quickly located and arrested by police in Irani, Santa Catarina, after his vehicle was spotted on the highway.

13/12/2025 – On Saturday (13), a violent brawl involving punches and thrown food broke out between two employees and a couple at a McDonald’s in Vila Nova Cachoeirinha, North São Paulo. The fight, reportedly over a food order, was caught on video and shows both parties trading blows in front of a crying child.

14/12/2025 – The influencer Samuel Sant’anna da Costa, known as “Gato Preto,” was arrested on Sunday morning (14), in the Tatuapé neighborhood, East Zone. He was wanted for the non-payment of child support amounting to over R$ 57,000. Located by the “Muralha Paulista” application as he was leaving a show venue, he was apprehended by the Military Police and taken into custody. The influencer is known for his luxurious lifestyle and various controversies, including a traffic accident in August while driving under the influence (alcohol, ecstasy, and marijuana) and accusations of illegal promotion of online gambling.

14/12/2025 – A protest against the Dosimetria Bill and the amnesty for those involved in the January 8 acts was held by demonstrators this Sunday (14), on Avenida Paulista, in front of Masp, in Bela Vista. The bill, already approved by the Chamber, aims to reduce the prison time for those convicted of attempted coup d’état, potentially benefiting former President Jair Bolsonaro.

14/12/2025 – A 38-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto for attempted femicide this Sunday (14), in Cidade Dutra, South Zone. The aggressor stabbed his partner with a knife in a hotel before fleeing. The victim was rescued and taken to the hospital (stable and out of danger). The suspect was quickly found by the police in a public square and detained for attempted femicide.

14/12/2025 – A 27-year-old driver was fatally shot in the head by a motorcyclist on Sunday night (14), on Rua Francisco Mariani, in the Capão Redondo neighborhood, South Zone. The crime occurred while the victim was in the car with his wife and baby daughter, who were unharmed. Security footage captured the moment the helmeted motorcyclist approached and fired. The motive for the crime has not yet been clarified, as none of the victim’s belongings were taken.

15/12/2025 – This Monday (15), a woman reported being drugged and suffocated by her partner in a motel on Rua Inácio Monteiro, Jardim São Paulo, East Zone. The victim was rescued and taken to Santa Marcelina Hospital. The suspect was apprehended and detained for attempted femicide on the premises, where police also seized narcotics, medication, and a handmade knife used for threats.

15/12/2025 – A woman was seriously injured this Monday (15), in the Vila Carrão neighborhood, East Zone, after being intentionally run over by her ex-partner’s car and then hitting a pole. The assault, classified as attempted femicide, occurred while the victim, who had obtained a protective order the previous Friday, was accompanying the man who was taking their daughter to school. The aggressor, who initially fled the scene, was arrested in flagrante delicto shortly after by the police.

16/12/2025 – The São Paulo Civil Police launched an operation this Tuesday (16), to investigate fake doctors who worked for about two years at the private Hospital Jardim Helena in the East Zone, where they allegedly treated thousands of patients. The investigation centers on a biomedical professional who used a real doctor’s identity and is linked to at least eight suspicious deaths, with police also probing for money laundering and fraud against medical plans.

16/12/2025 – Videos circulating on social media show the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) and the Military Police (PM) assaulting and pointing weapons at female street vendors in the Brás neighborhood on Tuesday morning (16). The footage captures officers using batons and one PM pointing a long gun at a woman’s chest during an operation to seize illegally traded goods. São Paulo authorities stated that the forces were responding to “hostility” from the vendors and that the Military Police had opened a preliminary investigation to analyze the images of the violence.

16/12/2025 – On Tuesday (16), a 65-year-old man accidentally shot and killed a 51-year-old man at a shooting club in the Mandaqui neighborhood, in the North Zone. Security footage shows the shooter handling a pistol when it discharged, striking the victim in the chest. The shooter, who claimed he believed the weapon was unloaded, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and released on bail.

17/12/2025 – The São Paulo Civil Police arrested two individuals on Wednesday (17), during an operation against a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. Investigators revealed the gang traded 81 tons of caffeine used to dilute cocaine, potentially producing over 320 tons of the drug for sale. Among those under investigation are a lawyer and a municipal housing secretary from a Greater São Paulo city. Authorities seized cash in various currencies, luxury vehicles, and two firearms while executing 27 search warrants and seeking two additional suspects.

18/12/2025 – On Thursday (18), an off-duty military police soldier was shot and killed during a robbery in Itaquera, East Zone. Security footage captured an armed criminal chasing and shooting the officer, who was in his car at the time. The assailant stole the victim’s .40 caliber pistol before fleeing; no suspects have been identified yet.

19/12/2025 – On Friday (19), São Paulo’s Gaeco and Civil Police launched “Operation Cacique do Asfalto” to dismantle a scheme that “legalized” stolen trailers and semi-trailers by issuing fraudulent new documents. A father and son were arrested in flagrante for chassis tampering during raids in the Capital, and Itapecerica da Serra and Cotia. Investigators found that a manufacturing firm used legitimate serial numbers from the National Transit Secretariat to give stolen vehicles a “new identity” as newly built products. To date, 15 falsifications have been confirmed, and a court ordered the seizure of $5.8 million in assets from the suspects.

18/12/2025 – On Thursday (18), a 20-year-old man was shot and killed by military police during an anti-drug operation in the Chaparral community, in the Penha district, East Zone. While officers from the 5th BAEP claimed the suspect was armed with a .40 caliber pistol and guarding 12 blocks of marijuana, his family denounced the act as an execution, alleging he was shot over ten times while hiding in a bathroom.

19/12/2025 – On Friday (19), a joint operation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and Military Police in the Favela do Moinho, central São Paulo, resulted in the death of a man following a shootout. The mission targeted a criminal group linked to the imprisoned PCC leader “Leo do Moinho,” who is accused of coercing residents to prevent the government-led removal of families from the slum. This action is part of a broader effort to relocate 824 families to social housing, following several operations this year that have led to multiple arrests and seizures of explosives.

20/12/2025 – On Saurday (20), a shootout between military police and four suspects following a pharmacy robbery on Morumbi Avenue, South Zone, left one suspect dead and a pedestrian injured. The confrontation began when police intercepted the suspects on two motorcycles, leading to a pursuit that ended in the Jardim Colombo area.

20/12/2025 – On Saurday (20), actor Dado Dolabella was involved in a car accident with an app driver on Ricardo Jafet Avenue in São Paulo. The driver released a video showing extensive damage to his vehicle and accused the actor of being aggressive and fleeing the scene before police arrived. Dolabella denied the hit-and-run, claiming he left to protect his teenage daughter from the verbal outbursts and that he filed his own report. The actor is widely known for his public history of convictions and violent behavior, including episodes of physical and verbal assault.

22/12/2025 – On Monday (22), a 53-year-old retired military police officer was shot during a robbery in Vila Prudente, East Zone. 24/12/2025 – Tainara Souza Santos, 31, died on the evening of Wednesday (24), after spending 25 days in a São Paulo hospital following a brutal attack by an ex-partner. On November 29, Douglas Alves da Silva, 26, intentionally struck Tainara with his car and dragged her for over a kilometer after a jealousy-driven argument at a bar. The victim, who leaves behind two children, had both legs amputated due to the severity of her injuries. Silva has been in custody since November 30, and the charge is now expected to be upgraded from attempted femicide to consummated femicide.

26/12/2025 – In the Grajaú neighborhood, South Zone, a 42-year-old woman was killed on Friday night (26), after being struck by more than 20 gunshots fired by two men on a motorcycle. The victim was at a liquor store when the gunmen opened fire, killing her instantly before fleeing the scene. While the victim held a protective order against an ex-partner, police are investigating multiple motives, including execution or witness silencing.

28/12/2025 – On Sunday (28), PMSP arrested three men following a high-speed chase that covered 25 kilometers and reached speeds of 160 km/h on the Marginal Tietê. The suspects were driving a stolen SUV with altered plates and were carrying burglary tools, including crowbars and balaclavas, intended for robbing mansions in Morumbi (South Zone). The 15-minute pursuit, supported by a police helicopter, ended when the vehicle crashed into a barrier while driving the wrong way. One of the detainees was reportedly out of prison on a temporary holiday release (“saidinha”).

28/12/2025 – In the Campo Limpo neighborhood (South Zone), on Sunday (28), a 21-year-old woman committed a double homicide by intentionally ramming her car into her boyfriend’s motorcycle during a jealous rage. The high-speed pursuit began after she tracked the victims from a party, resulting in a collision that threw both riders 30 meters and injured a bystander on the sidewalk. According to g1, the suspect fled the scene but was found by police shortly after on a nearby street.

29/12/2025 – Starting on Monday night (29), the São Paulo Civil Police launched a massive operation to arrest 1,400 suspects wanted for crimes of violence against women, including femicide and grievous bodily harm. Coordinated by the Secretariats of Public Security and Women’s Policies, the action has already resulted in over 200 arrests across the state. Approximately 1,700 officers and 1,000 vehicles are deployed in this crackdown, which responds to a 6% increase in femicides in São Paulo during 2025.

Local police are investigating the origin of the shot, which the mother believes may have ricocheted off a grill before hitting the child.
