28/03/2026 – On Saturday (28), a man was arrested in the act after robbing a shop in the Gonzaga neighborhood. The suspect attempted to escape by running along the beach boardwalk before being intercepted by the Municipal Guard. The stolen items were found in his possession and returned to the store.

29/03/2026 – A political demonstration on Sunday (29) at the Quebra Mar, in José Menino, ended in turmoil and allegations of assault. The protest, organized by members of the Novo party, featured a “Pixuleco” inflatable (depicting President Lula as a prisoner). A man claimed he was surrounded and kicked by protesters after questioning the lack of authorization for the use of public space. Meanwhile, party representatives argued the man acted with intolerance and aggression toward the group. Santos City Hall confirmed that no prior authorization had been granted for the structure, which was removed following guidance from the Municipal Civil Guard.
30/03/2026 – On Monday (30), a 47-year-old man was arrested after robbing the Vivara jewelry store at the Praiamar Shopping, in the Aparecida neighborhood. By feigning possession of a weapon, he stole over R$ 91,000 in jewelry before being surrounded by mall security, who were alerted by a panic button. The individual was handed over to the police, and the entire loot was recovered and returned to the shop.
31/03/2026 – On Tuesday (31), a 23-year-old man was arrested in Morro São Bento for his involvement in the execution of Marcelo Gonçalves Cassola. The victim, who was the head of identification for the Civil Police, was murdered in August 2022 with more than 30 rifle and pistol shots. The suspect was a wanted fugitive and was detained during Operation “Cerco Fechado”, while five other individuals accused in the case had been released by the courts this past January.
