26/05/2026 – On the early morning of Tuesday (26), two thieves broke into a residential building in the Macuco neighborhood to steal two bicycles. Surveillance footage caught one suspect using pliers to snap the gate’s padlock before wheeling out a bike, followed closely by his accomplice who stole a second one. No residents were confronted during the break-in, which marks the second time the property has been targeted this year.

30/05/2026 – On Saturday (30), the Federal Revenue Service seized 108 kg of cocaine packed into sports bags inside a refrigerated container at the Port of Santos. The illegal cargo was discovered during a customs sweep on a docked vessel and was bound for Morocco, Africa. The Federal Police have launched an investigation to identify the smugglers behind the shipment, which marks the seventh cocaine bust at the port this year, raising the annual total to 1.4 tons.
31/05/2026 – On Sunday afternoon (31), a shootout in Santos ended with the arrest of armed criminals after a high-stakes pursuit through a local mangrove swamp, in the area of the Mangue Seco slum, on Caminho São Sebastião, in the Rádio Clube neighborhood. The gunmen opened fire on a military police anti-drug patrol before fleeing into the marshy terrain to evade capture. Officers quickly cordoned off the area, waded into the swamp, and successfully captured and disarmed the suspects without any reported casualties, seizing their weapons and illegal narcotics.
31/05/2026 – In the early hours of Sunday (31), an armed gang raided a port terminal on Barnabé Island to steal industrial copper coils and steel cables, taking two guards hostage. The heist was foiled when a worker alerted the Port Guard, prompting a shootout as the criminals opened fire on arriving officers before abandoning the stolen goods. Surveillance teams tracked seven suspects escaping by sea in three boats that docked in nearby Guarujá, and police are actively investigating the botched robbery.
02/06/2026 – On Tuesday (2), a truck driver was arrested inside his vehicle in the Alemoa neighborhood, for the statutory rape of his nine-year-old daughter. The case came to light on May 18 when the child confessed a month of ongoing abuse to her mother, who immediately expelled her husband from the home and filed a report with the local Women’s Defense Precinct. Following a forensic medical exam that legally confirmed the assault, a local court issued a warrant, and the suspect is currently held in the penitentiary system.
