03/07/2024 – A man was arrested on Wednesday (3) in the center of Macaé after he robbed an elderly man. The victim made a withdrawal from an ATM when the suspect offered to help him before stealing the money. A patrol unit was in the area and quickly arrested the suspect who had two outstanding warrants for theft and 20 criminal records for various crimes.

04/07/2024 – During a patrol on Rua D in Parque Aeroporto on Thursday (4), police arrested a minor involved in drug trafficking. The suspect caught the attention of the police when he appeared nervous as they approached. When apprehended he admitted that he intended to sell the marijuana they found on him. The suspect is associated with the criminal faction Comando Vermelho (CV).
04/07/2024 – A police operation in Fronteira on Thursday (4) resulted in the arrest of a man linked to the criminal gang ADA. When the suspect was approached, they found a radio transmitter in his pocket tuned to the local drug trafficking frequency.
05/07/2024 – A team of the intelligence service of the Police arrested a man associated with the criminal organization Amigos dos Amigos in Cajueiros on Friday (5). The suspect was caught with cocaine and crack stones.
05/07/2024 – Military Police (PM) agents arrested one of the suspects involved in a vehicle arson on Friday (5) in Parque Aeroporto. The crime took place in January 2024 of a vehicle that belonged to the internet company Sumicity in the same neighborhood.
06/07/2024 – The Military Police (PM) dismantled a cocaine lab in the Brasília neighborhood in Macae on Saturday (6). During the operation PM agents seized 4kg of cocaine, totaling R$400,000. The operation was launched after they received information about illicit activity by members of the faction Amigos dos Amigos. Five suspects were arrested.
10/07/2024 – An operation coordinated by the Reserved Service of the PM resulted in the seizure, on Wednesday (10), of drugs and weapons in the Restinga area, located at the height of W Um Street, in Lagomar. The information obtained indicated that members of the Red Command were using the place to store narcotics. During the raid, police found a bag containing 225 crack rocks, 58 marijuana bushings, 211 cocaine pins, as well as five magazines.
10/07/2024 – On Wednesday (10), agents of the 32nd Military Police Battalion arrested a 24-year-old suspect in the Comunidade da Linha, in the Cajueiros neighborhood. Against him, there was an arrest warrant for qualified homicide and corruption of minors. The bandit is named as the main suspect of having shot at patrons of a bar on Avenida das Flores, in Residencial Praia Âncora, in October 2023, an action that resulted in five victims, two of whom lost their lives. During the approach, the police found 21 bags of cocaine, 62 marijuana bushings, 2 crack rocks, R$34 in cash, and a cell phone with him.
11/07/2024 – During a patrol on F Street, in the Sol e Mar neighborhood, on Thursday (11), the military police turned their attention to five individuals who showed nervousness when they saw the vehicle. When they were approached and searched. With the female suspect, a cocaine pin was found. In searches of the nearby land, eight more cocaine pins were located.
11/07/2024 – A man on the run from justice was arrested on Thursday (11), during a patrol by the 32nd BPM on Avenida Alfredo Lírio, in the Bela Vista neighborhood. The team was carrying out an ostensible patrol in the region when they spotted an individual who tried to flee when he noticed the approach of the agents. Upon verifying his identity, they discovered that he had no documents and provided false information. After intelligence inquiries, it was found that there was an open arrest warrant against him for simple homicide and aggravated homicide and that he already has an extensive criminal record, including charges of torture.
16/07/2024 – A Military Police patrol in Bosque Azul on Tuesday (16) resulted in the arrest of two men with ties to drug trafficking. During the patrol officers noticed two individuals who appeared nervous and found a bag which belonged to the suspects containing seven packets of cocaine and a marijuana bush.
17/07/2024 – A man was arrested in Fronteria for drug trafficking on Wednesday (17). During a routine patrol Military Police officers intercepted a man acting suspiciously who tried to hide a bag. When the officers searched the bag, they found approximately 450 grams of marijuana.
21/07/2024 – During a patrol on Margarida da Conceição Santos Street, in the Bela Vista neighborhood, on Sunday (21), the Military Police arrested a man involved in drug trafficking. When searching the place, the police found two bags containing 65 cocaine pins and 18 marijuana buds.
22/07/2024 – The Military Police, in an operation in the Visconde de Araújo neighborhood, arrested a suspect for drug trafficking. He was found inside a barbershop, located in front of the “Favela da Linha”, counting money and with bags of crack in his hands. At the site, 77 bags of crack and R$ 222 in cash were seized.
23/07/2024 – A teenager was apprehended for drug trafficking on Tuesday (23) in the Lagomar neighborhood. The action took place after police received an anonymous tip that the individual was selling drugs at the location and illicit material was hidden nearby. During the approach, 17 rocks of crack, 10 bags of cocaine, and R$68.00 in cash were found. The suspect has ties to the Red Command (CV).
27/07/2024 – During a routine patrol, on Saturday (27), on Jandira Perlingeiro Street, in the Cajueiros neighborhood, police officers spotted individuals behaving suspiciously. Despite the attempted tactical siege, the suspects managed to flee. However, during the sweep of the site, agents found 59 crack rocks. Authorities suspect that the individuals may be linked to the criminal faction ADA (Friends of Friends).
29/07/2024 – In a police action, on Monday (29), at Rua Antenor Maciel de Azevedo, Sol e Mar neighborhood, the Military Police seized drugs after suspects abandoned the material and fled the scene. The incident occurred during a strategic operation in the area known as CRIAAD square. The PM agents spotted the individuals with a suspicious attitude, but were unable to approach, as they quickly escaped. In the escape, the suspects abandoned cocaine pins and marijuana.
31/07/2024 – A police operation carried out on C Street, known as Praça do CRIAAD, in the Sol e Mar neighborhood, resulted in the seizure of drugs on Wednesday afternoon (31). The action was triggered after information was received from passersby about the presence of three individuals carrying out drug trafficking in the place, identified as a point of sale controlled by the criminal faction Friends of Friends (ADA). Upon arriving at the scene, the police managed to approach two of the suspects, while the third escaped. Although nothing was found with the criminals, a bag containing marijuana was located nearby.
31/07/2024 – During a routine patrol, on Wednesday (31), on Antonio Bechara Filho Street, in the Botafogo neighborhood, the Military Police arrested a suspected drug trafficker. The man tried to flee when he saw the vehicle but was captured after a tactical siege. Upon approach, 10 cocaine pins, 5 marijuana bushings, and R$ 20.00 in cash were found with him.
31/07/2024 – On Wednesday afternoon (31), the team of the Segurança Presente program, during a patrol in the Center, approached two men who fit the descriptions of a suspect of several thefts in the area. During the search, narcotics were found with one of them. Taken to the 123rd Police Station, four victims appeared and identified one of the men as the perpetrator of the thefts.

- After dark, avoid Glória and the Centro (Downtown).
- After dark, avoid walking alone in Praia Campista and Cavaleiros.
- Avoid Lagomar, Barra de Macaé, Engenho da Praia, Planalto da Ajuda, Ajuda de Cima, Ajuda de Baixo, Morro de Santana and Morro de São Jorge (in Paraíso), Fronteira, Jardim Maringá, Barra, Nova Holanda, Malvinas, Botafogo, Aroeira, Parque Aeroporto and the surroundings of Favela da Linha (in between Visconde de Araújo and Cajueiros), as risks of collateral damage and assault are high in these areas.
- As much as possible, restrict movement in the districts of Novo Horizonte (in Vale Encantado) and Parque Aeroporto. Do not walk alone in these areas and use only licensed taxis.
- Be careful when walking downtown, avoid exposing valuables.
- Be always cautious, including in areas perceived as safe.
- Avoid any display of wealth (jewelry, cell phones), but always carry a small amount of money (R$50) to hand.
