04/09/2025 – On Thursday night (4), residents of the Nazaré neighborhood were held hostage during a robbery on Conselheiro Furtado Avenue. They then entered a neighboring building, holding a resident hostage for a few minutes. After the escape, the Military Police carried out searches, but no arrests were made.
04/09/2025 – On Thursday morning (04), a man was arrested in the Canudos neighborhood, accused of selling “magic mushrooms” containing psilocybin. Police seized 270 packages, packaging materials, labels, and a scale. The arrest took place during Operation Psychosis, carried out in seven states to combat the production and sale of the drug banned by Anvisa.
05/09/2025 – On Friday night (05), police arrested a suspect involved in an armed robbery with hostages that began in a house in Nazaré and ended in a condominium in Cremação on the previous day. Residents were held at gunpoint, and the criminals escaped using stolen vehicles and disguises. 17/09/2025 – On Wednesday (17), a man reported missing was detained in Belém after fleeing from Civil Police officers while driving a car flagged for misappropriation. Investigations revealed that he had been using a friend’s vehicle despite verbally promising to return it on Sunday, September 14. The car was recovered on Tuesday, September 16, with witnesses stating the man appeared under the influence of drugs and resisted returning it. He later appeared at the police station, admitted the facts, and the case was formally registered for the appropriate legal measures.
18/09/2025 – On Thursday (18), an English teacher was arrested in Belém, suspected of raping a 15-year-old student at a private school. According to police, the victim was psychologically coerced by the educator, who abused his position. The operation “Última Aula” led to his preventive detention, based on evidence including messages, witness statements, and testimony from the victim and her family. He remains in custody, facing charges of rape and psychological coercion against a minor.

Security cameras captured the crime, showing the passenger disembarking with a firearm, threatening the victims, searching one for weapons, and forcing the other to hand over belongings before pulling a chain from one of the men. Both criminals, wearing helmets to cover their faces, fled immediately after the robbery, and the Civil Police reported that the case has not yet been officially registered at the local precinct.
19/09/2025 – On Friday night (19), Anderson José Leite Costa, 21, was shot dead with at least four gunshots to the face on Travessa Honório José dos Santos, corner of Passagem São Silvestre, in the Jurunas neighborhood. Witnesses reported that two men on a motorcycle approached him, with the passenger firing the shots before fleeing the scene. Anderson, who lived in Canudos and worked for a cleaning company contracted by the city hall, had no criminal record, and the motive for his presence in Jurunas remains unclear. The Military Police and Scientific Police responded, removing the body to the IML, while the Civil Police opened an investigation to identify and locate the suspects.
20/09/2025 – On Saturday afternoon (20), Military Police seized 187 packets of marijuana and oxi in the Cabanagem neighborhood. Acting on an anonymous tip about drug sales in a residence near Rua do Fio, officers from the 24th Battalion approached the location, prompting three men to flee. Although the suspects escaped, police found 97 portions of oxi, 90 packets of marijuana, and a larger 60g portion inside the house. The drugs were taken to the Marambaia precinct, where proper legal procedures were initiated.
21/09/2025 – On Sunday (21), two women were arrested at a port in Belém for suspected involvement in drug trafficking. According to the State Secretariat of Public Security (Segup), they were to receive a shipment of 3.8 kg of skunk-type marijuana seized the previous day in Breves, Marajó, by the Fluvial Base “Antônio Lemos.” Civil Police agents from the Fluvial Police Station carried out the arrests, also seizing a vehicle. One of the women confessed to participating in the crime, while a third accomplice managed to escape. The case remains under investigation.
21/09/2025 – In the early hours of Sunday (21), Giovani Henrique Santos Martins, 27, was shot dead in the Marco neighborhood. The crime occurred around 05:00 on Travessa Mauriti, when two men on a motorcycle approached and opened fire, killing him at the scene. The remark triggered security protocols, forcing the cancellation of flight AD4460. All passengers were evacuated, and the man was escorted off the plane in handcuffs. 27/09/2025 – On Saturday morning (27), two men were caught stealing electricity in the Val-de-Cans neighborhood. 29/09/2025 – On Monday (29), a journalist from Belém accused her ex-boyfriend, a jiu-jitsu fighter, of repeated domestic violence, including punches, kicks, chokeholds, and threats with a knife.
