02/09/2026 – On Wednesday (2), Civil Police officers from the 123rd Police Station captured a fugitive during an operation in the Lagomar neighborhood. Wanted under a preventive arrest warrant for a violent 2020 armed robbery in Rio de Janeiro’s Cachambi neighborhood, the suspect was located inside a residential property where police discovered over 2,000 packages of illicit drugs packaged for sale. In addition to executing the outstanding arrest warrant, officers charged the man in flagrante with drug trafficking before returning him to the state prison system.

15/09/2026 – On Tuesday (15), Civil Police officers from the 123rd Police District (123ª DP) executed a court-ordered search warrant, issuing a flagrant arrest against a man after recovering an illegal shotgun from his home. The investigation was initiated following reports that commercial motorcycle couriers and taxi drivers were being subjected to illegal extortion fees to operate within the sector. Inside the property, officers discovered and seized a 9mm pistol with 19 rounds of ammunition, hundreds of cocaine pins, dozens of marijuana portions, three communication radios, a precision scale, a cell phone, and the altered vehicle, leading to the suspect’s immediate arrest in flagrante for drug trafficking.
