A group Congressmen from the political group known as “Centrão” presented a Proposed Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) that would give Congress the power to revoke decisions of the Federal Supreme Court (STF). The Centrão is allied to President Bolsonaro, who has had several disputes with the court in the past years. The measure is seen by political commentators as a way to reduce the power of the Judiciary.
