She paid R$24 twice before realizing the service was free. Victims risk both financial loss and data theft. Poupatempo warns the public to book only through official channels and never pay for appointments.

04/04/2025 – On Friday (04/04), a woman was filmed defecating on a low wall at Ponta da Praia in Santos, with the feces falling onto a public ramp leading to the sand. The act considered obscene, occurred in broad daylight near the Deck do Pescador and was witnessed by passersby. The woman, accompanied by a man, left the scene immediately afterward. The Municipal Guard was not called.
04/04/2025 – A motorcyclist was arrested for drug trafficking on Friday night (04/04) in the Aparecida neighborhood. According to the Military Police, he tried to flee a tactical patrol by driving against traffic, ultimately crashing while attempting to cross a median on Avenida Mário Covas Júnior. Officers found cocaine and marijuana in a plastic bag inside his backpack. The suspect admitted he was delivering drugs via phone orders. During the arrest, he allegedly offered R$ 5,000 to avoid jail.
09/04/2025 – On Wednesday (09/04), a 32-year-old man was arrested after stealing an item from an Oxxo convenience store located at Praça Washington, in the José Menino neighborhood. He had attempted to pay with a declined card and left the store.
10/04/2025 – On Thursday (10/04), civil police launched a large-scale operation against the criminal factions PCC and CV in Santos, Praia Grande, and western Rio de Janeiro. Investigations uncovered a money laundering scheme that moved around R$6 billion in one year through digital banks and shell companies. The funds were used to purchase weapons, drugs and to maintain control over disputed territories. Authorities described the operation as the largest ever carried out against both groups.
