18/07/2026 – On Saturday (18), the body of a 28-year-old man was discovered inside Parque Augusta in the Consolação neighborhood, central São Paulo. Parkgoers alerted the Municipal Metropolitan Guard (GCM), and emergency paramedics (SAMU) pronounced the victim dead on site. Authorities evacuated and closed the park around 13:00 for forensic analysis before reopening it on Sunday. The case has been registered as a suspicious death.
18/07/2026 – On Saturday (18), a 35-year-old lawyer ran over a 66-year-old motorcyclist in West São Paulo’s Parque Fernanda neighborhood before intentionally driving again over the downed victim to flee the scene, abandoning his passengers. Following his hit-and-run escape, the suspect had an arrest warrant for attempted murder issued against him on July 20 after unsuccessful police raids at his home. Officially declared a fugitive by the 47th DP, he remains at large while his defense team attempts to justify his flight citing mob violence threats.
19/07/2026 – On Sunday (19), Military Police foiled an early-morning burglary at a residential building in Moema, South São Paulo. Officers caught three teenagers inside the complex with break-in tools and arrested a 22-year-old getaway driver waiting nearby in a stolen, cloned SUV. During questioning at the 27th DP, one minor admitted to participating in a R$ 3 million heist in Piracicaba the previous day.
20/07/2026 – On Monday (20), police in São Paulo confirmed an active hate crime investigation into a two-month campaign of racial abuse, cyberbullying, and death threats targeting a 16-year-old Black youth in the Tatuapé neighborhood, East Zone. The family filed a report with the Decradi (Racial Crimes and Intolerance Police) detailing how a local condominium’s soccer WhatsApp group was hijacked to send slurs, mock the teenager, and share weapon images while issuing threats of physical violence and home invasion. As the police conduct forensic trace work on the 15 group members, the condominium management has fined the involved residents and condemned the racist abuse.
21/07/2026 – On Tuesday morning (21), Military Police rescued a pregnant Filipino woman and her 4-year-old child from false imprisonment inside a residence on Rua Voluntários da Pátria, located in the Santana neighborhood, North Zone. The six-month pregnant victim had her passport, Migration Registry (RNM), and personal documents confiscated by her partner to prevent her from leaving. Following tips from Disque Denúncia and the victim’s family in the U.S., specialized officers escorted the mother and child to the 4th Defense of Women Police Station (DDM), while law enforcement continues searching for the suspect.
21/07/2026 – On Tuesday (21), the Public Prosecutor’s Office of São Paulo (MP-SP) launched a major operation targeting a systemic money-laundering network operating for the First Capital Command (PCC) across São Paulo. The investigation revealed that high-ranking Military Police officers were part of a personal WhatsApp group with a key financial operator of the cartel. Wiretaps and seized ledgers uncovered scheme members requesting cash to bribe police officers and resorting to internal “tribunal” arbitration over a R$ 2 million real estate dispute. Supported by PM Shock troops and COE units, authorities executed 18 search warrants, arrested 11 suspects (alongside two already imprisoned), and secured a court order freezing R$ 10 million in illicit assets, vehicles, and properties.
22/07/2026 – On Wednesday evening (22), around 18:00, a motorcyclist was shot near 1275 Rua Augusta, in the Consolação neighborhood, São Paulo central area. The victim was treated at the scene by emergency services (Samu) and rushed to Hospital das Clínicas, though details regarding his condition and the motives behind the attack remain unknown. Military Police are investigating the circumstances of the shooting, and the case was forwarded to the 4th Police District.
